TraceabilityLite

A vSuperb product.

TraceabilityLite is a combined requirements management tool / general traceability tool that uses documents as the database. This approach means no exports from the database are necessary and the content is already fit to be placed into a product data management tool for configuration control.

This approach also means TraceabilityLite can be used for traditional purposes such as: requirement gathering, linking an SRS or BRD document to a Traceability Matrix in another document (E.g. a verification cross-reference matrix, risk matrix, issues and decisions), perform gap analysis, decompose subsystem requirements, create Secure By Design or other Threat analysis. Both the free and paid versions of the requirements management tool can be used to generate example projects with MS Word or MS Excel template projects. The ability to link to paragraph text extends the capability of the tool, beyond the outdated database based way of working, by enabling the user to link to link to free form text (E.g. design documentation or process documentation) for uses such as a fully-traceable design, security target or Cyber Essentials requirements decomposition.

How can we improve?

Save countless hours formatting document exports.

TraceabilityLite avoids repetitive export-and-reformat cycles by reading links directly from your source documents, so teams can focus on engineering outcomes instead of admin overhead.

DOCX requirement specifications

Server & Database free requirements.

The desktop application is designed to run without a dedicated server or requirements database, making adoption straightforward for small teams and large programmes alike.

Intuitive usage with no need for admin staff.

The workflow is intentionally simple: create and maintain links in normal working documents, then let the software discover and present traceability views automatically.

Maintain traceability to process documentation, not just requirement specifications.

Go beyond classic requirement-only traceability by linking design documentation, process documentation, security artefacts, and other assurance evidence in one place.
